In the article,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41599-021-00707-y\"> &#8220;The Economic Argument for Hiring People with Disabilities,&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0 research determined these employees remain at their jobs much longer than the general population, with higher levels of job satisfaction.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Benefit from Tax Incentives<\/h3>\n<p>Federal agency<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irs.gov\/businesses\/small-businesses-self-employed\/tax-benefits-for-businesses-who-have-employees-with-disabilities\"> tax incentives<\/a>\u00a0defray many costs in making workplace accommodations.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC):\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0For employees experiencing significant employment barriers and\/or completing vocational rehabilitation services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Disabled Access Credit:<\/strong> For businesses earning $1 million dollars or less or having no more than 30 employees the previous year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Architectural\/ Transportation Tax Deduction:<\/strong> to remove barriers to the mobility of persons\u00a0with disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>5. Achieve Greater Workplace Diversity<\/h3>\n<p>Diversifying the company culture communicates to all that this is a place where everyone is accepted, supported, and can express their varied talents. It promotes empathy, awareness, and sensitivity to the needs of others. Furthermore, <a href=\"https:\/\/akinfenwadaniel.medium.com\/the-impact-of-workplace-diversity-on-customer-satisfaction-as-businesses-become-more-global-be87329dc41e#:~:text=Customer%20satisfaction%20can%20only%20be%20improved%20by%20having,to%20learning%20about%20customers%27%20various%20needs%20and%20values\">customer satisfaction<\/a> is greatly improved with employee teams of diverse backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Employers commonly ask about the cost\u00a0of workplace accommodations, which is understandable. An employer survey conducted by the Job Accommodation Network reveals that most accommodations (56%) cost <em>absolutely nothing<\/em> to make!<\/p>\n<h3>6. Promote Community Inclusion<\/h3>\n<p>Financial incentives, workforce solutions,\u00a0and customer loyalty aside, it&#8217;s extremely rewarding to be able to say, <em>&#8220;I promote community inclusion in my business for all.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>When recruiting, hiring practices, and training include individuals\u00a0with disabilities, employers make major contributions to their health, well-being, social, and financial freedoms.
