Port Angeles<\/h3>\n<p>Just outside of Olympic National Park, on the Olympic Peninsula, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/olympicpeninsula.org\/inclusive-travel-experiences-in-port-angeles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seaside town of Port Angeles.<\/a> [9] One of Port Angeles&#8217; major accomplishments is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=soL6pRTKnN8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erikson Playfield Pump Track<\/a> [10], designed not only for bicycles, but also electric and manual wheelchairs. It&#8217;s the first of its kind in the nation!<\/p>\n<p>The Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT), also known as the &#8216;Pathway to the Pacific&#8217;, is ADA-compliant in a number of significant sections. Visitors can also see one of the city&#8217;s waterfalls by taking the Peninsula Waterfall Trail, a paved pathway very close to the parking lot. Beaver Creek State Natural Area<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/willamettepartnership.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/OR_Accessibility_Travel_Guide_2020_Reduced-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beaver Creek State Natural Area<\/a>\u00a0[18]\u00a0is part of Brian Booth State Park. If you&#8217;re interested in kayaking down Beaver Creek, this might be a great place to enjoy this experience. The parking area is paved with an accessible restroom. There&#8217;s a very gentle slope down to the boat ramp (not more than about 3%). The landscape is naturally accessible, and the flow of the creek is gentle.<\/p>\n<h3>8. Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery<\/h3>\n<p>This fish hatchery\u00a0[19] combines the joy of the outdoors, as well as science and history. Visitors learn about the various stages of fish growth and development. The whole area is very wide open and flat, so it&#8217;s not complicated to navigate with wheelchairs, walkers, or canes.<\/p>\n<p>A main attraction is Herman the Sturgeon, an almost 90-year-old prehistoric fish. Close by, there are some walking paths and waterfalls, with varying degrees of accessibility. Younger kids have great fun feeding\u00a0fish and ducks. Firstly, know that travelling by plan comes with a risk of damage to wheelchairs.
